Units with the 4th Battalion Fire Chief were alerted at 1239 hours to 1614 Kilbourne Place NW for the house. Engine 11 (1st due) and Truck 6 (1st due) arrived to find a three-story, brick row house with smoke showing from the second floor. Engine 11 stretched the 200’ cross lay where Truck 6 located a room off with extension to the hallway. The fire was quickly knocked and the truck checked for extension, ventilated and completed the search. The assignment was quickly scaled back to 2 and 2.
